Summary: 2022 Carrollton TX Stake Deacons’ Camp
When: June 13-15 (Mon-Wed, leaving early on Monday and returning Wednesday evening)
Where: Tyler State Park (~2 hours away; 789 Park Road 16, Tyler, TX 75706-9141)
Who: Any current Deacons (turning 12 or 13 in 2022) and non-member friends of similar age who would like to attend
Adult Leadership: Each ward needs to provide at least one adult chaperone, but more are welcome. Fathers of young men are strongly encouraged.
Activities: Kayaking/canoeing, fishing, hiking, outdoor games/competitions, etc. Please see the tentative itinerary for more information.
Shelter/accommodations: We will be sleeping in screened-in shelters, so no need to bring tents but we’ll still need sleeping bags and pads.
What to bring: Please see the suggested packing list.
Transportation: We will likely need most of the adult leaders to transport deacons and their gear. Please note that we will reimburse for gas.
Cost: $150 per participant, including adult leaders.
Registration: Both young men and adult leaders must register by completing the registration survey. PLEASE COMPLETE REGISTRATION BY MAY 15, 2022.
